The
living area
features lots of comfortable seating, satellite TV, DVD player, VCR, a
Bose
CD-player and an iPod speaker-dock; there are board-games, books, CDs
and DVDs,
and wi-fi broadband is available at
no charge (please request access-code if needed).
We have paid particular
attention to the quality of the beds and other furnishings for a
comfortable
stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker (fan-assisted electric
oven and
gas hob), microwave, dishwasher, an “American”
fridge-freezer with ice and chilled
water dispenser and there are the usual small appliances such as
blender, toaster, coffee-maker,
iron (and board!).
There is
an indoor dining
table for six, and the same outside on the shaded rear terrace for al
fresco
eating, where the built-in barbecue is nearby. The front terrace has
great
views of the village and is a delightful spot for a morning coffee or
an
evening glass of wine. There are loungers and chairs to doze off on by
the
pool, and a big parasol to shade you when you do. The pool has
“Roman” steps at
the shallow end for easy access, and underwater lighting for those
Mediterranean evenings.
The
garden is
sheltered and peaceful, and gets the sun all through the day until the
evening.
Then you can watch the swallows come out to play, skimming over the
pool to
drink, and also try to spot such rarer visitors as the red squirrels,
or the
Skops Owl amid the wealth of other bird life which comes to visit at
sunset.
By virtue of its
clever design, the villa stays noticeably cool in summer, but there are
also
three tower-fans for additional cooling if required.
Bed linen and
towels
are provided, including towels for the pool and/or beach (which will
save on
your packing space!) and a cot and high chair are available on request
at no
extra charge.
We have
equipped the
villa as our own home-from-home, and trust you will find it as
comfortable,
enjoyable and relaxing as we do.
For the cooler seasons there is
a beautiful log fire.
You will
find a
washing machine and tumble drier in the integral garage, and a
hair-drier in each
of the bedrooms.
